The rhomboid fossa of clavicle was studied globally by forensic experts and anthropologists to determine the age and sex. This study was done on samples of human clavicles from North Karnataka of South India to determine the sexual dimorphism which is of anthropological, forensic and clinical importance. The mid shaft circumference, morphology of rhomboid fossa of clavicle was analysed. The incidence of rhomboid fossa of depressed and elevated types are seen more in males and smooth and flat types are seen mainly in female clavicles. This study also showed relative degree of sexual dimorphism in the mid shaft circumference of male and female clavicles. Since morphology of rhomboid fossa and mid shaft circumference of clavicles are significantly associated with sex, these results can be correlated with further molecular studies. These results may be used as indicators to determine sex in anthropology and forensic science to aid identification of isolated bone specimens.

In wireless sensor network (WSN), various energy efficient data dissemination protocol has been proposed. As energy consume for communication is much higher than other activities like sensing, aggregation etc [1]. So lot of effort has been done to reduce the distance between two devices (single hop to multi hop), size of packet (by data aggregation).It results into less consumption of energy, as energy and bandwidth are among the scare resources in wireless sensor network. Due to sink mobility, new challenge came in field of WSN.As for every sensor node to transfer some information, it needs to keep track the sink location. As the most common method to propagate sink location throughout the sensor field is flooding, but it results in communication overhead, bandwidth consumption and collision [2]. So some other techniques proposed in this domain. Some of them are Grid based , cluster based etc.

Objective This research investigated into the feasibility of using peripheral blood cell immunohistochemistry, serum IgG4, TCR and serum isoelectric focusing electrophoresis in the screening of type 1 autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP). Methods The peripheral blood from 3 cases with type 1 AIP patients, 10 cases pancreatic cancer and 40 normal controls were collected. Sediment smear were jointly incubated with anti-IgG4, anti-IgG. The percentage of IgG4/IgG positive cells was counted and serum TCR and IgG4 were detected through the whole process. After the isoelectric focusing electrophoresis or gel electrophoresis of serum, anti-IgG4, anti-IgG and anti-trypsin were used to confirm the component of serum. The results were compared with the pathological examination of pancreatic tissues. Results: In the serum isoelectric focusing electrophoresis, IgG4 and IgG strips showed mirrored distribution in type 1 AIP patients, while there were not any strips in the normal controls and pancreatic cancer. Compared with pancreatic cancer patients and healthy controls, serum TCR was significant increased in AIP patients. The percentage of IgG4/IgG positive cells of peripheral blood cell immunohistochemistry was related with serum IgG4. Conclusion Peripheral blood cell immunohistochemistry, serum IgG4, TCR and serum isoelectric focusing electrophoresis is all suitable for the screening of type 1 AIP.

The value of deploying new devices to enhance the English level of students, especially in non-English speaking countries seems to be self–evident and unavoidable. One of the frequently used devices is the mobile phone and one important component of teaching English is vocabulary. To determine the effectiveness of mobile phone for teaching, 94 students were in the study. They were randomly divided into control and experimental groups. The control group learned the new vocabulary items in the traditional way while, the experimental group received the learning content through short text messages/ SMS blended teaching mode, called SBT by the author, as well as traditional way. Then, both groups were evaluated with two kinds of multiple–choice vocabulary tests, i.e. fill in the blank and identifying the meaning of words. The results of repeated measurement analysed using the ANOVA statistical method revealed that the SBT group performed better than the control group. Also, it was shown that SBT was successful for both types of testing vocabulary.

The aim of this paper is to offer an alternative language for previous readings of Irigarayan theory of ‘feminine divine’ through Hindu Tantric Sakti, the feminine energy; a formless source of everything. Irigaray has turned to Hindu Sakti as an empowering model of female energy to do battle with the oppressive structure of patriarchal social practices. She introduces the Hindu goddess figure just for the celebration of femininity and women’s sexual body. However, her reading of Tantric texts is based on gender essentialism and “feminist” thought. This study draws upon Hindu text of the Lakshmidhara by Lakshmidhara, one of the Sakta commentaries to explore the union of Sakti and Siva and also to show how body, mind and emotions work together in the path of spiritual enlightenment. While Irigarayan ‘feminine divine’ stresses corporeal image of the spirituality which is the product of sexual and gender differences in the construction of women’s sexed body and their autonomous self, Tantric Sakti transcends gendered physical body. In fact, Tantric Sakti, the feminine energy, in the union with ´Siva, the masculine aspect, leads individuals to their non-dual divine self.

The Yerukulas, a tribal population subsisting traditionally on agriculture, animal husbandry and handicrafts trade, inhabit largely in plains of Southern Indian states specifically, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The demographic information regarding occupation, economic status, fertility and mortality, age of children etc were collected. The present study on tribal population with moderately high fertility and mortality shows a picture of a growing population. Sex ratio was slightly deviated to the predominance of males. The inbreeding co-efficient for autosomes is 0.0381 and sex chromosomes is 0.0438 among the Yerukula tribe, and the overall inbreeding coefficient is 0.081 which is relatively high due to more number of uncle-niece marriages. Among postnatal deaths, neonatal deaths in non-consanguineous and infantile deaths in consanguineous couples are higher than their counterparts. The index of variability of fertility is higher in non-consanguineous couples and proportion of surviving offspring is higher in consanguineous couples. However, the percent offspring mortality is higher in non-consanguineous couples. Thus, improving socio-economic conditions and creating awareness on medical facilities so as to reduce the fertility and mortality is essential to keep the population growth under control.
