Carefully scheduling the operations of pumps can be resulted to significant energy savings. Schedules can be defined either implicitly, in terms of other elements of the network such as tank levels, or explicitly by specifying the time during which each pump is on/off. In this study, two new explicit representations based on time-controlled triggers were analysed, where the maximum number of pump switches was established beforehand, and the schedule may contain fewer switches than the maximum. The optimal operation of pumping stations was determined using a Jumping Particle Swarm Optimization (JPSO) algorithm to achieve the minimum energy cost... The model integrates JPSO optimizer and EPANET hydraulic network solver. The optimal pump operation schedule of VanZyl water distribution system located in was determined using the proposed model and compared with those from Genetic and Ant Colony algorithms. The results indicate that the proposed model utilizing the JPSP algorithm outperformed the others and is a versatile management model for the operation of real-world water distribution system.
Introduction: Osteoporotic hip fracture is the most common form of orthopedic fractures, especially in the elderly. Given to the increasing number of elderly in the community and the high probability of hip fracture in the elderly and the need for detailed knowledge of the prognosis of the disease, the present study was conducted to investigate the prevalence of hip fracture due to minimal trauma and the relationship of biochemical risk factors with hospital mortality rates during the first year after the fracture.\nMethods: In this cross-sectional study all patients with hip fracture due to minimal trauma referred to Ayatollah Mousavi hospital of Zanjan from October 2011 to October 2012, have been entered the study. Demographics and blood parameters were extracted and the, the mortality of patients was recorded a year after the incidence.\nResults: 127 patients have been entered into the study. The disease has been occurred 42.2% in men, 33% in women and 33.1 % have died after a year. There was also a statistical significant relationship between some variables and mortality rates.\nConclusion: Hip fracture has a high mortality. Approximately 30% of patients die one year after surgery. Hence, studies and continuing healthcares can reduce the mortality rate. Also, patients’ hemoglobin level during admission matters greatly in their treatment.
Image Processing is an important field of research domain in circuit branches for many decades. Nowadays, processing of SAR Images becomes major research interest in the digital image processing. Like other image processing, edge detection, enhancement, and noise reduction are significant research issues in SAR images. In which the speckle noise become critical issue in recent years. Due to the presence of speckle, the SAR images are modelled as a strong, multiplicative noise. Speckle noise reduction from the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images is extremely difficult, and existing noise reduction techniques developed for SAR images are inefficient. Several robust filters and operators have been developed for the reduction of de-qualified speckled images. Hence, in this paper, a hybrid filtering technique is applied for removing speckle noise from SAR images. The hybrid filtering technique applied wiener filter, medium filter and proposed functional derivative co-efficient filter. The proposed work implemented in Matlab and results of the proposed work proves better result than existing techniques.
The Internet is a reality in people’s lives, enabling the growth of many online service companies. However, to maintain their activities and stay in the market, it’s important for these companies to worry about the quality of the provided services. In this context, it becomes important to be able to assess the client satisfaction regarding those services. The objective of this work is to propose a tool for helping the evaluation of customer satisfaction through the use of Sentiment Analysis. Sentiment Analysis or Opinion Mining refers to the techniques used to extract and evaluate sentiment expressed in textual data. We analyzed a database of an online job search company containing client comments collected from a service cancellation form. This database, among other parameters, has a score assigned by the client and a comment about the services. We performed the classification of the sentiment expressed in the user comments with the aid of a software written in Python, and then calculated the correlation of the sentiment score with the score assigned by the clients. The results lead to the conclusion that the use of Sentiment Analysis serves as a support tool to enrich the customer satisfaction assessment.
Animal diversity is an important biotic component of any aquatic ecosystem. Huge biodiversity is found in Manawar water system. The Manawar Tawi is one of the most important rivers of Jammu region. It is one of the major tributaries of the Chenab River. In this study zooplankton and macro zoo benthos diversity was estimated. It was revealed on the basis of the present study on animal diversity that the members of the Ephemeroptera thrive well in the River Manawar Tawi, besides various other species. Besides others twenty two species of fishes belonging to five families have been recorded from the River Manawar Tawi. Therefore, these can be used as the most appropriate and efficient bio-indicators for assessing the health of the important aquatic ecosystem.
Abstract\nA 58 day feeding experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of dietary protein and lipid levels on gilthead sea bream fingerlings growth performance under flow-through system with regard to environmental impact. Six practical diets containing two levels of protein (500, 450 g/Kg) and three levels of lipid (100, 150, 200 g/Kg) were fed fingerlings with an initial body weight of 1.5±0.01 g on the average. Each diet was hand-distributed to duplicate groups of 60 fish, three times a day until satiation. The dietary lipid level had a significant effect on FBW, FCR, feed intake, PER, PR, ER and phosphorus retention. Though, the dietary protein level had a significant effect on FBW, FCR and PR but not on feed intake, PER, ER and phosphorus retention. The interaction of dietary protein and lipid had a significant effect on FBW, ER and phosphorus retention but not on feed intake, FCR, PER and protein retention. Fish fed the diet containing 450 g protein and 150 g lipid per Kg diet had a significantly better FBW, ER and phosphorus retention. Results of this study indicate that a diet with a protein level of 450 g Kg-1 and a lipid level of 150 g Kg-1 satisfies the growth requirements of Sparus aurata fingerlings to ensure minimum environmental impact and high economical efficiency under flow-through system.
